Description

Morpheus, the dream giver, as a spirit wolf.

yeah, i know, everything's a wolf with me :P i luffs the wulfies.
paint (acrylic and watercolour) and homemade textured canvas (that wierd corregated paper stuff you get in chocolate boxes, craft paper specifically black with orange flowers on which you can kiiinda see around Morpheus, tissue, glue, and gold acrylic to give it a nice shimmer ;) which you can only really appreciate in the flesh, unfortunately)

to quote some wiki, as i knew little about Morpheus myself beyond Laurence Fishburne's rendtition:
"Morpheus is responsible for shaping dreams, or giving shape to the beings that inhabit dreams. Morpheus also had special responsibility for the dreams of kings and heroes. For these reasons, Morpheus is often referred to as "Morpheus, the Greek god of dreams" "

i think my favourite thing about these canvases is that when you do a watercolour wash as a base, is clings to the folds and creases in the tissue moreso than the smoothe bits, so you get this cracked and interrupted landscape to paint on :)
this canvas is, like most of my others, reversible. i plan to do a big anthro painting of him on the other side.
yeah, i know, everything's an anthro with me :P lol

Nice painting; I really like how you've used both acrylic and watercolour. The texture is interesting too :D
